Unfortunately, after the first strong gust of wind, one of the zips broke, so it was not possible to close the polytunnel completely. When the next gust of wind came, I got home from work and found the sail torn into three pieces next to the frame. The polytunnel therefore lasted just under two months.
I should mention that the garden is sheltered on three sides by fairly tall, dense bushes, so the wind speed certainly wasn’t anything to write home about. I definitely think it would help to weigh down the sail around the edges with something, as it kept lifting away from the frame. Furthermore, the number of attachment points to the frame is very small, and this certainly contributed to the damage.
I think that if I took a bit of care with it and made a few modifications, it would last, but that should really be the manufacturer’s job.
