I bought this as my first 3D printer and I'm blown away by how easy it is to set up and operate overall. Thanks to the display, you can see all the necessary information and also instructions, for example, when you're changing to a different filament. A truly user-friendly interface.
Ingeniously simple
Comes assembled (you just take out the filling, unscrew a few screws, attach the display and the filament holder and it's done)
Automatic calibration
Quality workmanship
WiFi / LAN / USB
Great price
Of course, the noise (but that's probably nothing out of the ordinary)
The printer was bought for my granddaughter as a Christmas present. None of the family had the slightest experience with 3D printing up to that point. The start-up was good, we understood everything logically and it is already churning out products. In the meantime, we've done a bit of work on it, lighting, camera covers, etc. We are now considering something more "adult" with a multicolour. But as I say, for complete laymen and beginners, a good choice at a good price.
easy to use
suitable for beginners (our case 😃)
mobile apps
data transfer over wifi
we can't think of anything, except maybe the main switch on the back.
Hello, I've had the printer for a while but I can responsibly say that the printing and processing of the printer itself is absolutely amazing. I'm a complete novice and layman in 3D printing, what impressed me the most about this printer is the easy initial start-up, no manual adjustment of the table height from the nozzle, everything happens automatically, so actually plug and play. As a complete beginner, I only print with Alzament's PLA filaments, and the printed stuff looks absolutely great. Such a toy for long winter evenings: -) If you are considering buying a 3D printer, I recommend the FlashForge 5M. For me, absolutely unbeatable. Plus it's a solid, stable metal construction, looks very nice.
I've only had the printer for a while, but everything works as it should.
I have had the printer for 2 years, it has printed about 15Kg of material and still works as good as new.
Sometimes I just grease the gears. Other printers have problems with filament loading over time, or the extruder clogs up when changing material types, or the heat wears out the Teflon tube in the hotend and it gets stuck - here it's a seamless all-metal hotend and there's no problem at all. And if it was, replacement nozzles can be ordered and quickly replaced (complete bottom end of hotend). Other nozzle diameters are also available for order, or hardened for printing abrasive materials (filled with carbon, fibreglass etc.)
The printer can be completely covered to comfortably print ABS and other more demanding materials (the covering kit can also be printed - it's on Thingiverse and Printables)
In short, for the money, there's nothing to worry about.
I have owned the printer for the 4th month and I couldn't be happier, it prints great and very reliable.
Fast and reliable printer
The price/performance ratio is perhaps unrivalled
Nothing yet.
