I consider Fiskars to be a quality brand. I have an axe, a spade, a hand saw - great tools. But, unfortunately, even a master carpenter sometimes makes mistakes. I avoid using these scissors and prefer to use old, unbranded ones. The scissors cut great, but almost never open afterwards. Loosening the screw doesn't help, I see the problem as a weak spring. In addition, the locking mechanism is not even thought out, it is easy for the scissors to lock when in use without this being the intention. I'll try putting a coiled metal spring in them sometime and if that helps, I may go back to using them.
I expected quality scissors when it comes to branded ones and unfortunately I don' t use them. They slide, close, and never open again. A bad feather, which is apparently made of cheap material.
