it's simple we bought this axe based on the price- normally I use or have Fiskars this however was meant to be for the house - at least for splinters, the log it doesn't take it's all cushioned so into the handle and it sort of has a problem even with the splinter board - the axe is heavy and is blunt like. my friend saw it and said, well, it's new but dull, so you will need a new product - try to sharpen it and then we'll see.
