When I attach the monocouple as written in the instructions - positive pole to the positive electrode and negative pole to the negative electrode, the voltage of the measured monocouple appears on the display. I rate this feature as positive enough.
The downside of this device is that I have lost quite a large supply of used batteries because of it, as I found that they no longer had the necessary voltage.

I didn't have much hope for this tester, but I was pleasantly surprised. Compared to a precision voltmeter, the measurement deviation was 0.01V. The current load on the batteries is about 8mA. Other testers have, for example, only 0.8mA or measure the no-load voltage, which was insufficient. A big plus for this tester. I can only recommend it.

I didn’t have much faith in battery testers that don’t have their own power source, but I was pleasantly surprised. Compared with my long-standing Voltcraft MS-229, which is no longer available, it only deviates slightly. 1.5V batteries by 0.03V and 3V batteries by 0.1V. So, I’m completely satisfied with the overall condition of the batteries.

And yet, something as daft as modifying the mould to mould a groove into the clearance for movement, so that the battery remains centred when the lid is closed, simply didn’t occur to someone during the design phase.
