It cycles through all 5 modes of operation HI-LO-flash-red-redflash, which is compared to e.g. with Petzl branded headlamps where you switch whitelight - redlight modes by long pressing a bit more squeezing, but considering the price difference (comparable from Petzl is about 3 times more expensive).
