The thermometer is simple, the display is as large as the outdoor temperature digits. The owner of a small apartment will appreciate a sensor on a wire. It doesn't overheat in the sun like wireless sensors. They also don't have to bother with signal dropouts and changing batteries in the sensor. There is beauty in simplicity and in price as well. The advantage is also a regular AAA battery
There aren't any. Wired models are unfortunately not seen much, but they are more practical in simplicity and last a long time.

Nothing substantial. I would welcome the ability to backlight the display so I can see the thermometer even in the dark or at night.
