The antenna itself is separated from the part with the amplifier, which is plugged in near the TV, (the power supply from the USB adapter can be replaced by plugging the cable directly into the USB port on the TV), the antenna itself can be even 5 meters from the TV, respectively. Any distance, as long as I take the trouble to make a customized cable (with standard terminals, F connector on one end, IEC connector on the other end).
I recommend it for situations where there is something to mount the antenna on (indoors or outdoors). Thanks to the separate cable, it can be in a room other than the TV, (just drill through the wall and pull the cable through and then put the end cap on it.
The amplifier is without external regulation, (probably without regulation at all - no AGC, but I didn't measure it exactly), but that's not a fault, it usually doesn't matter.
quite functional device, for a simple room antenna, with which there is usually more trouble than good
can be mounted on a vertical bracket, on a railing with vertical bars, or inside a block of flats on the heating pipes that run between floors
usable reception, if at least some signal is available from the transmitter (reasonably strong amplifier)
it will not work in a room that is shielded by walls from the useful signal from the transmitter, or has a window facing the wrong direction, (but this is true for all room antennas, with or without amplifier, so it's a feature rather than a drawback)
