We have purchased a steam washing machine Elektrolux, so far satisfaction. It is quiet and has clear controls and an excellent choice of washing temperatures and spin speeds.
14 min. program (0.1 kWh, maybe even less water than standard programs)

touch buttons (have a lower failure rate)
steam program - fast, extra small consumption of water and electricity - 0.1 kWh, but does not remove e.g. smell from the closet (maybe it can be useful for a quick wash, respectively. defrosting - up to 30 min. your laundry is dry and, if you add some fragrance, scented)
time manager (e.g. the cotton programme can be shortened up to 40 min., but water and energy consumption will increase as it should wash just as well)
additional steam program at the end of the wash for better or no ironing (but it works for max 30 min., other washing machines inject steam for up to 6h to prevent the clothes from getting wet before you take them out)
it leaked during the first wash without laundry (recommended to set the cotton to 90°C, it started to generate so much foam that it flowed through all the holes and water came out of the washing machine) - I wanted to return it, but it was enough to put some clothes in the washing machine and the foam did not form anymore)
missing 30 minutes. to 40°C (or even 60 min. programme)
touch buttons are harder to press (but it's a matter of habit)
classic programs are very long (can be shortened with time manager, but it is inefficient and unsatisfying)

the negatives listed are rather cosmetic, the important thing is that what it is designed to do, it does brilliantly and reliably
Estimation of washing time is most accurate up to about 10 minutes after start-up
for my taste, it takes too long to estimate the amount of load by slowly twisting dry and gradually adding water - a "start washing now" option would be useful
