The hose is made of hard plastic and it rotates in the handle with very high resistance (you could say it doesn't rotate at all). This means the hose gets twisted and you're constantly fighting with it, which makes your wrist ache after just a short while.
The handle has ribbing where you hold it, which really isn't comfortable.
The hose inlet is from the top and not from the front, plus its stiffness means that the vacuum cleaner doesn't follow you but shoots off in whichever direction the hose is twisted – typically to the side, crashing into furniture or door frames.
