I use it to power a small fan, which has a maximum current draw of 0.6 A at 12 V, and the converter itself does not overheat at this current draw. However, a 5V power supply capable of delivering at least 1.5A is required.
For the price, it’s a very interesting buy if you need a 5V to 12V converter
