Money wasted
I can responsibly confirm that the aforementioned scarecrow does not work. Not that it doesn't make a sound, but it just doesn't scare the marten away. I have a picture of a marten having a snack in close proximity to a scarecrow. It's just a placebo, a waste of money.

The scarecrow operates at a frequency that the human ear really can't even marginally hear. Only longer use will show how much it bothers martens. The box is quite large and finding a suitable location in the engine compartment is a challenge. As well as the method of attachment. The universal box is ready for 2 screws, which is great for attaching to the door, but in the car.? I ended up attaching the box lying on its side with self-adhesive Velcro to the top of the car battery in my diesel Octavia. I fixed the 9V battery in the box with scraps of model EPP. The manufacturer simply leaves room for imagination and creativity. But if the scarecrow works, I'll be a happy customer: -)

It is not possible to evaluate the function this soon after purchase, the functionality will only become apparent with time, but since we have another scarecrow of this brand that worked I believe this one will too. I have doubts about the water tightness, the lid has no seal. The battery does not have any really functional fixing elements (the sticker inside did not hold the battery, moreover, it will work only the first time and hardly the next time it is replaced). The battery moves and can cause problems for the scarecrow over time due to vibrations from the engine (I had to pad the inside). It took me several dozen minutes to figure out how to mount the scarecrow in the engine compartment. It is ready only for the option of attaching it with screws, which I refuse to return anywhere in the car structure. It would be better to choose closed instead of open eyelets.
