The endoscopic camera itself works as it should, but the delivery and the online shop’s customer service are a complete disaster. The manufacturer (or retailer) has completely ignored the packaging’s security features – the box wasn’t wrapped in any plastic film and didn’t have a tamper-evident seal, so anyone could have got their hands on it. The packaging clearly states that the accessories should be concealed beneath the padding, but in my case they were just lying loose inside. Result? One key part is missing (the mirror). The strangest thing, however, happened when dealing with customer support. If you report a missing small part to them – because you need to use the camera straight away and don’t want to send the whole package back just for a single mirror – they’ll send you a dismissive email asking you to “take a photo of the item’s condition for assessment”. Asking a customer for photographic proof of something that isn’t in the box is utter nonsense. What’s more, it makes no sense from a motivation point of view either – if I wanted to cheat, I’d report that an expensive camera was missing, not a single plastic mirror worth a few pence that’s currently getting in the way of my work. If you absolutely need the product to be fully functional and don’t want to end up in a row with a bureaucratic machine that accuses you of lying about unsecured parcels, you’d be better off looking elsewhere.
