The keyboard looks great, it's thin, comfortable and the multi-device feature is awesome. Unfortunately, it has a critical flaw - during normal typing (especially the U I O J K L keys) it disconnects itself from Bluetooth and switches to channel 1 (dongle), even though the dongle is not plugged in and I did not press the button.
It's unusable on a MacBook, I have to keep manually switching back. I tried all the resets and new batteries - nothing helped. I'm returning it now, it's a waste of money.
Recommendation: Don't buy if you want stable Bluetooth.

– Critical error: when typing the U I O J K L keys, the keyboard disconnects itself from Bluetooth and switches to channel 1 (2.4 GHz dongle mode)
– Switching takes place even if the dongle is not plugged in and the switching button has not been pressed
– The glitch is 100% reproducible in any normal typing (words like "bought", "people", "window", "uiopjkl")
– The keyboard is practically unusable on the MacBook - I have to manually switch back every few sentences
Resetting Bluetooth, changing batteries, removing the dongle or power-cycle did not help
This is a known manufacturing defect in the KB740 (confirmed on Dell forums)
The keyboard is nice at first glance, but I was surprised that the batteries barely fit into the compartment, some AA just do not plow in there and when closed the lid of the compartment is 1-2mm bent. Apparently recurring manufacturing defect - found in 2 out of 2 keyboards. It does not affect the function.
