when crimping on the wire, the locking pin that is supposed to press on the cable's crimp breaks out (completely breaks). It's about a 50/50 chance of breaking. Then the cable holding in the connector practically is behind the notches in the contacts.
probably a defective batch or some shitty plastic
various crimping pliers tested
other (older) connectors do not do this for me
