A game that CDPR shouldn't have even tried to release on PS4. Of course, repeated updates and patches have done nothing to solve the fact that the old consoles can't handle this game. Do not buy this (PS4) version under any circumstances. At least the contents of the box should be praised, as always CDPR knows how to stuff it to bursting. The hardcover comic I received with my purchase was also a great and welcome idea. The surprise was the musical side - perhaps the only team of the project that produced absolutely high quality and flawless work - with a result that is far more impressive than the rest. As far as the story is concerned, the idea of choosing from 3 story lines was not kept by the developers even till the end of the intro. Despite the sad fact that this was their main marketing theme - the choice of character origin has almost no story effect, except for one mission (which was just part of the promotional demos), etc. like "Whispering Pahorek" in The Witcher III, this is the only example where the story qualities showcased in the game are actually present, whereas in the final rest of the game these details are greatly diluted to the point of being completely absent. I won't even talk about the treatment of the possible endings. The biggest disappointment is the treatment of the theme. The game is set in cyberpunk, and by putting the name of an entire subgenre of sci-fi right in the title, they've cut a swath. From the first minute into character creation, it's quite obvious that cyberpunk mods lack diversity to a ridiculous degree. The lack of customisation options and use of anything cyberpunk related then stares at you from every corner, be it gameplay or story. Even the popular loss of identity of the characters is used so simplistically and unimaginatively that it does nothing to disconcert, frighten or otherwise engage the player. TL; DR - Unfinished on all sides and largely unworkable in this PS4 version.
