I don't use this at home, but it helps me a lot at work (drawing in CAD software).
It's a little taller, but if you rest your elbow on the table, or even better if you combine it with an armrest on the chair, comfort is guaranteed. However, if you have your elbow loose and the edge of the table in the middle of your forearm when working/playing, it is unusable.
It smelled a bit at first, but after a week it cleared up.
