The kettle starts to boil from 93 degrees and by 100 degrees it will still fume several times and produce large amounts of steam. The temperature gauge does not detect that the water has been boiling for a long time. So if I want an accurate temperature for tea, I don't trust the kettle to determine it correctly. On the contrary, if I want 45 degrees, the kettle heats very slowly and it takes a long time.
