Good for playing, we caught someone else on the frequency nearby, but since it was a male voice and still a bit curious, we weren't happy about it. It was a gift, but I wouldn't buy it for my kids. Not because it doesn't work, but because we don't actually know who might be listening.
Anyone can tune into the frequency and listen.
