He had double vision and couldn't focus-as if the orbit had shifted. It was already unpacked so the defect could have been caused by the previous owner.

Mechanics, optics = basic functions of a telescope.
The mechanics are going very stiff, I wonder in some time what it will do.
If I compare the optics with a much older and weaker telescope, it is old, it doesn't have the same magnification, but the image is like wine. In this telescope it's kind of slightly blurry, non-specific, I use it really in a pinch.
