I bought it to catch flies in the corridor after dark. Blue light keeps flies in the immediate vicinity awake; some even land on the outer grille of the device. But they really don’t want to go inside onto the electric grid. If a fly does manage to get in there, it’ll get a mild electric shock. by an electric shock that merely stuns her. In a minute she’ll come round and fly off, or she might take another blow, which won’t kill her either. The test was also carried out in a completely dark, windowless room, with the same result. During five days of testing in a room full of flies, the device killed just one fly.
Doesn't function as intended. Zero insects caught during two weeks of use (though there were a lot of them in the room). Its light seems to have no effect and doesn't lure insects inside at all. Wasted money, useless purchase.
