So it’s been about 1-year since purchase — using mostly charcoal side. The grilling surface is wide enough for 8 full sized skewers, but the charcoal / fire box is too close to grill surface and there is no way to adjust the fire box up or down — nor raise the cooking surface. Same on the gas side — grill surface very close to flame. Sausages and other fatty drippings always burn from direct flame contact… and if you let coals cool to temp when it won’t flame, the fire goes dead before cooking finished. The gas / charcoal combo is great idea.. but they should have incorporated their standard firebox or provide a second level grilling surface. Considering selling this to just get a decent charcoal grill with an adjustable feature.
