I bought the net as protection over the garden pond against the heron that was eating our fish. The net was not only over the pond but also behind its perimeter rubber about 20 cm above the water. Snow fell, the net was torn down and now it is frozen in ice. But it's not made of natural material, so I believe it will survive the winter, just like the fish it protects.
No: I recommend it. The net is really strong and I think it would have prevented a bag of cement from falling off the trailer.
