I am very happy with the printer so far. I appreciate that thanks to the closed design, it does not dust on the paper in the tray. The whole printer gives the impression of a dark block with a clean design. Double-sided printing is a great advantage, the printer almost spits out the paper first and then sucks it back in and prints the other side. Connecting to WiFi is a big advantage, no need to place it right next to your computer. You can also print from your mobile phone. Wifi setup was very simple. Either connect the printer with a cable and use the wizard to turn on wifi, or set a wifi password on the printer display. I have no complaints about the print quality, only the first 5 or so sheets had smudges on them, probably dropped ink particles, after that no problem.

Wireless printing from android phone problematic. Documents and photos can be printed via the Brother Mobile Conect app. However, this application does not allow printing web pages and refers to the Brother iPrint&Scan application, which in turn is not compatible with the Brother HL-L2442DW printer.

USB printing installation is lightning fast. For printing over Wi-Fi, I had to adjust the router settings so that the network clients could see each other (client to client forwarding, sometimes labeled as default forwarding). No problem since then.
A QR code sticker on the printer for installing an app from the App store or Google Play is also a nice touch.
Print from desktop, tablet and mobile, regardless of operating system

For me, I definitely recommend it. I don't know the vast majority here write that connecting via USB is complicated enough. For me, all I had to do was plug and play and it worked normally. Connecting via WiFi is tedious, but worth it. The password is saved when you turn it off, so no problem.
