The lid was very hard to take off, but after filing the "teeth" that held the lid, it is better (but you must not file too much, otherwise it will not hold at all - I had 2 and destroyed one like that). But the interesting thing is that even after a year it hasn't burst. I use it for candy (it's not for liquids, the lid doesn't hold tight and they would leak).
