A sophisticated system for programming even for the youngest.
Starter kit is sufficient for all conceivable beginner applications
I could imagine a lower price, but not by that much.
Plugging resistors into a non-conductive field requires skill and finesse. Which is a lower price than if they were on a flatbed.

We bought it as a gift for our nephew, originally we wanted to buy just the basic micro blanket: bit, but it's good that we decided for the Starter Kit, especially since it was a gift. My nephew (12 years old) could start using it right away (and he did) and in time we will see whether he will go the way of connecting wires and diodes (in simple terms) or he will be more interested in programming.
