I've had the stand for almost four years. no technical defects so far. the only problem is that an incredible amount of dust gets stuck on the anti-slip pads, and eventually it is visible from the side. But other than that, I'm perfectly happy. the place where you put the phone is rubber, so it won't slip/fall. there is also a hole for the charging cable, which can be attached to the stand structure.
