I've had 2 pieces and they both broke through - I wondered why the metal chassis of my laptop was breaking through and found that the charger was passing AC to shield the cable through an active rectifier.
I.e. = on the outside of the USB-C connector, which one touches, I measured 230V AC voltage (the same voltage as in el. socket).
