It fulfills the purpose, it also holds perfectly in my damaged USB-C port on my mobile (the others fell out). It is small in size, so it is not a problem to use it with a mobile cover.
The external HDD cannot load. It probably can't provide enough power. I rather recommend AlzaPower USB-C, it works for me without problems. (macbook m1 pro)
It’s small and reliable, but I’m not keen on the fact that the USB-C port is single-sided. (* = if both the device and the adapter have ‘functional’ pins on one side, it will only work when connected in one direction)
