I have good experiences with Author products and bikes, but I'm returning this bag. The weight stated on Alza was 740g, and by the manufacturer even 595g. But in reality, it's about 950g even without the strap and rain cover! This would fit the category, but I would have chosen a different one. The back pocket is quite shallow, more for a lock than a bottle, but maybe it would hold one. The top zip is covered by a flap of tough fabric, so it's not exactly easy to open. The side pockets are made of a sturdy material. It's probably these that are making it so much heavier.
