A huge disappointment – the battery life is completely unacceptable and doesn't match the product description.
A huge disappointment – the battery life is completely unacceptable and doesn't match the product description. The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 FA608PP-QT005W laptop is a massive disappointment for me. The biggest problem is the completely inadequate battery life, which directly contradicts how the product is presented by the seller, Alza. They explicitly state that the laptop has "long battery life" and that its 90Wh battery will "keep you in the game all day". The reality, however, is completely different. With minimal load, the laptop barely lasts 3 hours, and that's even with the maximum power-saving mode enabled, minimum performance settings, and the display's refresh rate reduced to 60Hz. Furthermore, if I follow the recommended charging range of between 20 and 80% to preserve the battery's lifespan, and only use the laptop for normal work in the Chrome browser with YouTube open, I get only about 2 hours of usable time. For a new laptop in this price and performance category, that's a completely absurd result. Gaming on battery is practically out of the question. It makes you rightfully wonder what this laptop is intended for and what the point of its portability is if it's only usable for a very limited time without being plugged into the mains. Of course, a gaming laptop can't be judged by the same standards as an energy-efficient office model, but this isn't about a few hours of gaming at full power. The problem arises even during normal use with minimal performance demands. Even more disappointing is the manufacturer's approach to my complaint. I filed a warranty claim for the rapid battery drain almost immediately after purchase. During the first claim, the battery was replaced, but this didn't solve the problem at all. The second claim was then rejected with the explanation that everything was in order. According to the manufacturer, a battery life of just a few hours for a new laptop is normal. I find this approach completely unsatisfactory. If the manufacturer considers it normal for a laptop with a 90Wh battery to last such a short time with power-saving settings and light, everyday work, they should inform customers of this before purchase. Instead, the seller emphasises long battery life and all-day gaming, thereby creating completely different expectations. I'm not disputing that battery life varies depending on usage. However, this isn't a case of extreme load, high brightness, or playing demanding games. This is about battery life at minimum performance during normal activity. Moreover, replacing the battery didn't fix the issue, which raises doubts for me about the device itself and the way the claim was handled. Conclusion: I cannot recommend this laptop to anyone who expects reasonable portability and the ability to work without being constantly connected to a charger. In my case, the declared long battery life proved to be completely out of touch with reality, and the subsequent rejection of my claim only made the overall impression worse. I expect much more from a new laptop in this category than just a few hours of operation under minimal load. For me, this is a fundamental flaw in the product and a very poor customer experience.

All the games I've tried are fine at 100+ FPS at 2.5K resolution even without frame generation
Extremely powerful processor, I was pleasantly surprised
RTX 5070 super graphics
SUPER processor
Very quiet in "Silent" mode, can't hear slow
A powerful laptop at a good price
For a similar price you can buy a laptop with RTX 5080 which is a more powerful graphics, I paid 43k in discount but if you are thinking of buying this for approx,. 50k so consider a better RTX 5080 laptop
VERY hard to turn off automatically changing brightness and contrast, but possible
