Everything is set out in terms of pros and cons. The overall experience has been more than positive.
Price – you won’t find a laptop this powerful, yet this compact and lightweight, at this price these days
Power
Quality – even though it’s made of plastic, nothing cracks or creaks, and the USB ports aren’t loose straight out of the box, as was the case with the previous TUF laptop I had
Weight – it’s 14", so it’s small, and thanks to the materials used, it’s surprisingly light
Quiet – with its quiet design, you hardly notice it’s there, but even whilst gaming I didn’t feel as though the laptop was about to blast off to another planet; it’s incredible how far things have come
Battery life – with the NVIDIA graphics disabled and the brightness turned down, you’ll probably get around 6 hours; it’s no Mac, of course – x86 architecture isn’t going to get any better in this respect
Lid – can be opened with one hand, just like on a Mac, without lifting the whole laptop; what’s more, it’s sturdy, which wasn’t the case with the previous TUF A15 either
Keyboard – it’s incredible. You can’t change the backlight colour, and even at the lowest setting it’s incredibly bright, so I’ve personally switched it off, but it’s a joy to type on
Probably the display – not that it’s bad, and the brightness is fine, but don’t expect any VRR or HDR; it’s not exactly a downside, I just wanted to mention it: ) and it might be for some people, but I don’t really care either way
The touchpad, of course – once again, this isn’t a Mac, and even manufacturers in the Windows world should finally realise that a touchpad you can only press on the underside is really a thing of the past
