I bought this laptop mainly for its CPU for work; gaming is a huge bonus and after a few teething problems, I'm extremely satisfied. The build quality is fantastic, although "metal" in the description just means it has a single thin sheet of aluminium on the back of the monitor, otherwise it's all plastic. I don't mind that, at least it's lighter.
"Easily handles even the most demanding games" is a massive lie. One of the first games I tried was Control, which is currently one of the most demanding games out there, and even on the lowest settings with maximum DLSS, I couldn't get the 1% lows above 30–40FPS, and there's no VRAM left for frame generation. Unfortunately, I have a 1440p monitor; it might run better at 1080p, but I'm not buying a new monitor just for a game.
The Asus software is awful; after starting it up, I had constant stability and smoothness issues. I was getting micro-lags even in the browser until I uninstalled everything and replaced it with G-Helper.
Despite the plastic body, the workmanship is excellent. Everything is sturdy and pleasant to the touch.

The existence of G-Helper
The GPU is presented as a beast from another world, but these days it's more of a mid-range card with a lack of VRAM.
Armoury Crate and other software from Asus is bloatware that just causes problems
