The laptop is all-metal, however the finish gives it a cheap plastic feel. It doesn't feel premium to me, which it probably could given the price. Too bad it doesn't have multiple USB ports, but there are various docking stations, so it's survivable. On Friday night I just closed the laptop (put it to sleep without turning it off) and on Monday morning it still had 81% battery. It's great at dissipating heat and is quiet. The display shows really beautifully. It bothers me a little that the off button is on the side like that, but I guess I'll get used to it. I tried the numeric keypad on the touchpad, but it didn't type well. It doesn't support multiple touches at once, so you can't type too fast on it either. Looks nice, but it's useless to me. I am very satisfied with the laptop overall.
