Unfortunately, it actually corresponds to a zoom of about 1.5x. However, the biggest problem is the input size of the lens, which is too small for the current lens sizes on mobile phones. On the iPhone 13, even with accurate centering, darker and out-of-focus areas remain around the edges. When used with a regular cover, the edge of the lens can be seen practically around the entire perimeter.
