I bought into an older computer build with a Ryzen 5 2600 and the performance boost was huge
Performance in games - all me one at 2K over 100 fps at full detail
Good compatibility with RX 7800 XT graphics card
The only sensible choice still on an older socket - AM4
Higher price tag - could be cheaper given that this is already a pretty old AM4 socket

If you're building a new PC, I can't recommend it because it's a dead AM4 platform. However, if you have a PC with AM4, that's probably the best you can go for.
Performance in games is the absolute best (can tame even RTX 4090)
Thanks to 8 cores quite passable productivity performance
Low power consumption (in games ~45W, productivity ~80W)
Price
The best AM4 processor for gaming
Low temperatures (about 50C in games in a very well ventilated case with a mid-range cooler)
On an older basis. the board required a BIOS update
Poor productivity performance among other octa-core
It's not quite a processor for work due to the very low operating frequency (4.05ghz)

Rather a gaming processor. yeah maybe for 1080p but in 4k it's completely redundant.
Rough performance slightly better than the 2018 2700X
Temperatures are terrible, it's almost impossible to keep it cool, it's even up to 90°C even with a cooler for 2000, -
Those who praise it to the skies know nothing and repeat only what they read in the advertising.

best "new" gaming cpu on am4
Consumption
availability and price compared to overpriced second hand 5800x3d.
the difference compared to 5700x significant even in GPU bound games especially in terms of frametime. Micro stuttering has virtually disappeared.
will extend the usability of AM4 machines for a while.
the slowly departing AM4. With the arrival of the new generation of GPUs it will be pointless to buy.
