It's holding tight enough.
The release is smooth.
The method of attaching and releasing the phone is a bit unusual. When attaching, you have to hold the phone and manually squeeze the holders to the phone (there is no button that is pressed when you attach the phone and it then automatically attaches the phone). When releasing, the phone must be held again (otherwise the phone will fall out! ) and press the button on the back.
