To run Windows, I had to connect the laptop via LAN cable directly to the router to connect to the internet and download all the updates and drivers. The Wifi driver was not installed and therefore there was no other option. Otherwise, everything works as it should.
Maybe this will help someone. The product deserves a much better rating than 3.7. I am very satisfied.
Missing WIFI driver, need to plug network cable into router to install drivers. (Must have USB hub with network cable option). I was buying a new product, so this may not be a problem with a new one.
The laptop has one major flaw and that is the loud fans. Acer's software allows you to set 3 fan performance/speed profiles. At the lowest level of "Silent" and battery operation, the computer is completely silent under light load (web browsing) and the fans are turned off. But as soon as you plug it into the socket, the fans immediately turn on (at the same load) and unfortunately they are very audible even at their lowest setting and minimum CPU load. On settings other than "Silent" it is of course even worse and the fans hum loudly even when running on battery power.
