As someone wrote here, it doesn't work. It must be taken into account that if a non-original cartridge is purchased, the printer must then adapt to this by, for example, downgrading the FW and disabling updates. Then the toners with older chips will also pass. I did it once with my m254nw printer according to some video on YT.
