As I suffer a lot from ringing in my ears after gigs, I decided to invest a bit in some better earplugs. Classic foam earplugs are fine, but they muffle the sound so much that you don't get much out of the experience.
When I tried these earplugs at home, I was surprised that I could actually hear everything – it was as if they weren't dampening the sound at all, so for a moment I thought I'd been had, but I decided to give them a chance anyway. The magic happens when you're in a loud environment, where the sound reduction is really noticeable but the music is still full of detail and you can still really enjoy the audio experience – the earplugs simply turn everything down but try to keep as much detail as possible. A bonus was that even in such a noisy environment, I was able to chat with my friends without having to take the earplugs out.
These earplugs exceeded my expectations and I recommend them to anyone who suffers from ringing in their ears or spends time in loud environments.
