If I were to rate the dishwasher as if it were my first, I would give it about five stars. But I have to compare it with the previous AEG Lavamat dishwasher, which is about 15 years old. The old dishwasher was much more robust (thicker plates and basket wires). It had interior lighting (I had no idea the new one wouldn't have it). The new dishwasher has a pull-only opening where a lot of force has to be exerted, and the handle is shiny plastic, so it slides off the hand. The old one had a lock where it pressed open effortlessly. Probably the biggest problem with the new dishwasher is the power button, which is located at the top. So you put the dishwasher on, close it and when you want to turn it on, you have to open it again, then press the button on top, then close it again and then only then crease the buttons in the front - it's hell. A separate chapter is the middle rear height adjustment wheel. It is operated from the front by a long plastic rod, which is very thin and not properly attached. So it can't be adjusted for height because when I try to lift the washer, the bar starts to skip and doesn't work. Fortunately, you only have to make the adjustment once (put some suitable pads underneath) and then you don't have to deal with it.

We bought the dishwasher as a replacement for an AEG Favorit 65042 from 2013. The installation was done by an experienced service technician with no problems incl. mounting the panel on the door. Throughout the review, I actually compare this model to the previous AEG. The workmanship and the whole structure is less robust than before. The dishwasher washes very well and is really quiet. Controls are simple and clear as the previous type. I guess we'll get used to everything. I just wouldn't buy a dishwasher with a third drawer for cutlery again. The basket in the bottom drawer had a larger capacity. The middle drawer for glasses and cups does not allow reliable removal. Glasses and cups fall or bump into each other even when the drawer is carefully pulled out.

We purchased the dishwasher as a replacement for the Whirlpool WFC 3C26 PF X. The dishwasher looked good according to the marketing. The installation was quite complicated, the plastic screw controlling the height of the rear leg is ridiculously low and swings freely to the sides, which definitely doesn't help. The instructions for mounting the panel to the door don't make sense, the support screws to hold the door in place don't hold the panel even if the template is followed, so you end up having to do it yourself anyway. Be careful when tightening the screws, it is easy to deform the plating, because the manufacturer has saved on material. Overall, the workmanship is average, nothing too extra robust. The dishwasher washes well, is a little noisier than expected, the controls are intuitive. I kind of expected more quality from AEG.
