We had two faults with the last AEG dryer, the first one right after installation we found that the door was leaking. Service came and didn't fix it. Only after further urging did they replace the rubber gasket with a stronger one. Second fault after about 5 years the dryer was drying only some parts of the laundry. Again, the service came and did not solve, we were advised to wash the filter more, so that followed again the service complaint, arguing, a second trip and again failure, I again learned that the company hires freelancers and that the claim for poorly done work by a colleague will not solve, that I just pay it again, I refused.. and it wasn't until the third time that the broken belt was replaced. I don't remember what the service was called, I think Lavatherm or Lavatech, but it was hell. they have it in reviews on the net, but you can't do much because it's an authorized service. Despite this, I bought the dryer again and I am generally happy with the mess that it has had, in fact I am surprised that the previous one worked for so long and I hope that the AEG service will sort it out before I need it.
We had an AEG for 10 years, it dried three times a day, hence this choice.
It smells, but crazy - recycled plastic, after about 10 cycles it's a bit better, but the smell is still terrible and so is the laundry.

It is my first dryer so I have no comparison but complete satisfaction. Most of the time, each drying programme finishes before the specified time, and well before it. It's quiet and does exactly what I expect it to do - it dries clothes efficiently and saves me time and work. I'll just add that I use wool balls for the drum.
