The installation went smoothly, following the instructions. The dishwasher runs very quietly; the only sound you can hear is the capsule door opening. It performs brilliantly; it removes dried-on food residues with ease, even on a shorter cycle. It’s brilliant that the door opens once the programme has finished; the crockery is perfectly dry. I had to get used to the top-mounted controls – you have to use them before closing the dishwasher – but they’re intuitive. Quality product at a good price.

The wash quality is good; thanks to the swivelling arm, the water reaches right into the corners and washes pots and baking tins thoroughly. The programme is quiet, and one of its advantages is that the door opens slightly automatically once the programme has finished. The controls are intuitive, and the range of programmes is sufficient for everyday use; we most often use the automatic programme and the energy-saving ECO programme. Another advantage is the option of a delayed start. All in all, a good-quality dishwasher with plenty of programmes for everyday use.

I chose the dishwasher mainly for its quiet operation and low consumption (of both water and electricity), and the AEG was the right choice. I’m now using it several times a week, and it fits perfectly into my daily household routine, just as I’d imagined. It’s really quiet when it’s switched on; I hardly notice it in the kitchen during the day, and I’m happy to leave it running at night as well. It washes the washing-up thoroughly, even if I put it in a few hours after a meal and it’s already dried on. I’ve stopped pre-washing altogether; I just scrape off the worst of the leftovers and leave the rest to the dishwasher. I like the AirDry cycle – at the end, the door opens slightly and the crockery dries off by itself. There’s occasionally a drop or two left on the plastic items, but I take the glasses and plates out dry and shiny. The interior is well designed; the baskets can be adjusted, and there’s even room for taller dishes and pots. It’s easy to use; I usually just set it to the automatic or eco programme and don’t have to worry about anything else. I think it’s a great product; it offers good value for money and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
