Alarm works reliably on 2 AA batteries
It comes with a case in which it can be transported under the saddle.
Locking up takes practice. It needs to be locked and stopped immediately, otherwise it will trigger an alarm in a few seconds. It would require a longer pause after activation.
The key is not advertised with the light, but is without it.
