After a few days of use, I can say that this 77" OLED TV from Samsung has surprised me very pleasantly overall, although a few small things could use some tweaking. The Samsung QE77S85F offers a superior picture and a very convenient connection to modern services and ecosystem. The biggest weakness is rather the user interface for working with the TV tuner and minor UX shortcomings. Overall, though, this is a very high quality TV that makes sense especially when used with a set-top box or streaming services.
Excellent picture - the OLED panel offers really high contrast, perfect blacks and very vivid colours. The picture is dynamic and looks natural in both movies and sports.
Simple set-top box control - the TV controls the Vodafone set-top box itself without any problems (switching on, off and changing channels), so you only need to use one remote control.
Quick account login - setting up your Samsung account and services like Netflix was very convenient via QR code.
SmartThings integration - the connection with the SmartThings app (on Samsung phone) works seamlessly, the TV can be conveniently controlled from the phone.
Nuisance alerts for encoded channels - when using the cable tuner directly on the TV, a pop-up window constantly appears for unpaid channels, which is quite annoying.
