Simply put, wow. I've turned an ordinary living room into a home cinema where you can truly enjoy films. I was initially worried that a 77" screen would be too big for our living room in a block of flats, as my 60" Samsung Quantum Dot LED seemed an adequate size. The be-all and end-all of the entire G series is simply the gallery design wall mount. The old TV was on its stand, about 20cm away from the wall. This one sits really flush and only sticks out by about 2.5cm, which noticeably increases the viewing distance. We are all genuinely thrilled at home with how natural it looks to watch, and it doesn't seem huge to us anymore. Thanks to the Gallery design, the television fits perfectly into the interior and doesn't draw as much attention to itself as it would on a stand. The television is so bright that even watching during the day, when the sun is shining into the room from the left, is not a problem. The picture is even brighter than on the old QLED. In the dark, the colours are even more beautiful. Sports broadcasts with a true-to-life rendering of, for example, the grass on a pitch are perfect. The black in films, where there are no grey shadows around stars for instance, and horror scenes that are genuinely dark, make watching on this OLED a real viewing experience.
Although the remote isn't as ergonomic as the old Samsung one, it's still simple and even has more buttons. The pointer is something that will save you so much time from clicking around the screen with navigation arrows that you'll never want another kind. Opening apps is lightning-fast, and the fast Wi-Fi ensures you can even watch BD discs from the local network without any stuttering.

I had the chance to properly test this TV for both normal viewing and for watching 4K/HDR films and gaming. What probably impressed me the most was the difference in brightness compared to my older OLED TV – during the day the picture is much brighter and in the evening the HDR is absolutely fantastic. I also really noticed the anti-reflection coating, because the reflections on the screen were truly minimal. The only thing that's a bit of a let-down compared to the picture is the sound – with this series, I could imagine the audio reproduction being just a tad better.
