This is the third LG TV. The new TV has a really simple and quick setup. The picture's great. The main problem I had was with the satellite channels not working even when they were properly tuned. The problem was with the old CI module, which did not communicate with the TV. After replacing the module with CAM803, everything was without problems.

Since our previous LG TV suffered from missing updates and slow apps, I appreciate the 5 year warranty on updates. The hardware looks powerful enough to last the time. The picture is great, the sound neither impresses nor offends. The wide range of apps has the potential to replace some external devices such as Apple TV, Xbox or NVIDIA Shield. I've tried Xbox Cloud Play and it works pretty well. I'd see it more as an add-on for someone who has a PS at home and wants to play a few Xbox exclusives. Given that the remote on the last TV was the first to go, I'd be a little worried about the innovative volume and program control levers. By 2025, I'd already expect some basic parental controls similar to what Apple, Xbox or Google offer, but it seems all LG offers is a simple parental PIN lock. The AI is very basic, so far rather similar to the simple voice search that has been on TVs for a long time.
