I bought the monitor mainly for work + occasional gaming. I'm excited about it, lots of features like PIP, PBP, KVM makes it easier to work on two devices. The curvature is just right. Good colors, even the black display is much better than on my old IPS monitor.
As for coil-whine, the software update helped a lot. I can hear a little, but I have to have my ear right up to the source.

The biggest problem is the native incompatibility with Mac. You can connect a monitor, but only a very small number of resolutions will work to make the font legible and fine (basically only 2, where one is about 3000x1000 which completely misses the point of having such a large monitor when you set the resolution for about 24"). Otherwise, the other resolutions work, but the font is blocky and blurry. It can be solved by advanced system intervention (virtual screen, framebuffer mirroring), but it is complicated for laymen. For casual users and Mac (MacBook) use, choose a different monitor.

Active brightness adjustment just fine. I had big monitors without this and when I turned it on in the evening it burned my retina. This is great.
Constantly active fan. Constant noise, but this is due to the fact that I power the laptop using power delivery from the monitor. If I give the NB its own power supply the monitor goes silent. This bothered me a lot. It's ok with the NB's own power supply. Maybe it needed a better quality fan.
If you turn off the video source - like a laptop, the monitor goes into power saving mode but you can still hear it. I have to turn it off with the button, otherwise I keep hearing it
