I have done a lot of research on compression issues with OLEDs after getting this monitor and noticing them. Apparently, most OLEDs (including QD-OLEDs) tend to exacerbate poor compression issues due to their infinite contrast. To this day, I am not sure if the horrible macroblocking I see is only an issue with my specific model or an OLED-wide issue. I will probably do more tests (including testing other OLEDs) because this issue is honestly driving me insane.
