I chose this monitor as an alternative to the AOC CU34G4Z because of its significantly better connectivity. Although both monitors use what are, on paper, identical panels, when compared side-by-side, the picture on the CU34G4Z is clearly better at first glance. The biggest – and unfortunately, probably the only – advantage of the CU34G4ZCA version is the barely noticeable G-Sync flickering. In all other visual aspects, the original CU34G4Z comes out on top. A major weakness of the CU34G4ZCA is scrolling white text on a black background, where the text loses brightness and the white colour turns a yellowish-brown during movement.
connectivity
significantly less G-Sync flickering compared to the CU34G4Z
unconvincing picture compared to the CU34G4Z
on paper, it has the same viewing angles as the CU34G4Z, however, subjectively, it reacts more aggressively to a change in head position (especially on the vertical axis)
Fast scrolling of white text on a dark background is really bad (the text loses brightness).
